Mick Malthouse says he’s thrilled with Carlton’s recent performances, especially last week’s win against Port Adelaide and is glad he's finally been vindicated.
“I always had confidence in the plan and that this team would come good.”
“The media and others might not have the patience that’s required to turn a club around but I do and it’s finally happening.”
Malthouse said the victory against Port Adelaide was a ‘tipping point’ and a lot of commentators would now be eating humble pie.
“I don’t expect an apology from anyone, I’ve been in this game far too long. I just take satisfaction from the fact the players are listening and are starting to get it.”
“There’s still a lot of work to do but I’m ready for it.”
Malthouse said he was confident the club was now back on track and that he ‘couldn’t see another loss for the rest of the season’.
“Now if you excuse me, I’ve got to get back to preparing for the Gold Coast this weekend.”

Collingwood have come good after sacking Mick and now Carlton. This could be a new brand of strategy. Maybe he really was as good as he said...
