A recent on air discussion about plunging Caroline Wilson into frozen water and having her not come back up, with Danny Frawley enthusiastically offering to hold her under while a group of us bombed her, has surprisingly upset some people.
Therefore, I’ve released a series of apologies on a sliding scale of remorsefulness.

- There’s no need to apologise, it was all in good fun and for charity. For charity people.
- This is really all Tony Shaw’s fault.
- Someone could only be offended by these comments if they took them out of context. You have to listen to the entire 24-hours of radio surrounding these comments to understand. Have you done that? No, I didn’t think so.
- While I can see how these comments would normally be offensive, they were in the spirit of the day, so were actually all in good fun. I can tell this is confusing to you but trust me.
- Family violence is a serious issue and we all need to play our part and show leadership on this issue. I’m proud of all the work I’ve done in this area and I’ll continue to be a leader on these important issues. There is no need to thank me.
- I’m truly sorry if people were offended by this innocent discussion.

- In the last 24 hours, and particularly since this morning, I’ve seen the impact of the comments on Caroline Wilson
No person should ever feel uneasy or threatened in football’s family. For that, I am deeply sorry and I apologise unreservedly to Caroline for putting her in that position.
I am really disappointed that I made remarks that are at odds with my views on the place of women in modern Australia.

Meh. A joke (admittedly a little crass but there's room for that) about one woman isn't an attack on the entire gender and ignoring the fact that Caro's paid to stir the pot but act surprised when someone fires one back across her bow is pretty laughable. Linking it to real world violence is disingenuous as hell though, would love to see an actual scientific study (and not the social "sciences") showing a link between humour and real world violence.
So chalk me down as "nothing to see here". When did this country become so humourless?

misanthropicfcuk well, at the danger of encouraging a possible misogynist, I have to agree. The problem is that no-body really knows where the line is but I do know that black humor is a very good passive outlet for violent inclinations. Joking about it may have actually saved Caro's life. Whether that was a positive or not is for others to judge.
