Boomer Harvey rings Joel Selwood to say thanks

Following the tribunal decision that allows Brent Harvey to play in the Preliminary Final, he rang Joel Selwood to say thanks for his testimony.

Joel Selwood: Hello.

Brent Harvey: It’s Boomer.

Selwood: Ah, G’day mate. Can you hold on a second? Just fixing up my bandage. Got blood dripping in my eye.

And I’m back.

Harvey: I just wanted to say thanks for doing that.

Selwood: That’s OK. Chris said I had to and I kind of liked the acting challenge.

Harvey: Well, it was bloody brilliant, even I started to wonder if I’d tried to take you out or not.

Selwood: How funny was it when I said I’m genetically predisposed to bleeding! What a bunch of nonsense.

Harvey: Well, it worked. James Brayshaw told me we’re going to rig a raffle for you. Get you a new Mazda.

Selwood: I’m not sure if I can contractually drive a Mazda. Can I just win some cash?

Harvey: Can’t see it being a problem at all. If there’s one thing North Melbourne has, it’s lots of cash lying around.

Selwood: Well, I better run. Later on tonight, I’m going to be selected as an All Australian.

Harvey: How do you know that already?

Selwood: They’ve given all the winners a heads up. Anyway, better run.
