Australia has lost its way with the Jack Viney decision

The Jack Viney decision is the watershed moment in our young Nation’s history.

It goes far beyond the AFL. It speaks to the core of who we are as a people.

This country used to stand for something.

It stood for the right to bash into another man, who was also being crunched by another man, as you all chased an oddly shaped ball.

This is what our forbears fought for.

Now, ‘they’ don’t let you keep score as a kid and tell you to convert Swedes to our game by forcing them to live with Carlton supporters.

To all this I say, ‘no.’

Not on my watch.

Life is brutal and unfair. In this harsh land we call the outback, in which almost all of us live in cities or large towns, we need people to be bred for the environment we live in.

Jack Viney is now a living symbol that OH&S people now run this country.

Those odd people in HR with their soft hands and fear of life, who try to get you to do ‘safety shares’ every five minutes, have destroyed the soul of the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

This decision must be appealed.

I see all those high priced, bleeding heart lawyers take cases pro bono when it’s some man dressed as a Koala chained to a tree.

Well where are you now, when the very soul of this country is at stake?

There is a young man out there tonight who has been made a martyr just for being a proud Australian.

For saying ‘Life is risky but I’m going to go after that ball anyway.’

This man, Jack Viney is innocent. He must be freed.

I blame idiots like Kevin Fartlett. What's next? Bring in an offside rule, or ... you can't turn your back on an opponent, a la Rugby League, or ... you can only run in straight lines, for someone may twist a knee or an ankle. What did we do to deserve these so-called custodians???
