ASADA CEO Aurora Andruska says goodbye to staff

Dear Colleagues

Sadly, tomorrow is my last day here at ASADA.

It’s appropriate then that I write to you all to express my appreciation for all the wonderful morning teas and long chats we've had.

Of course, I’ll be saying goodbye to you all in person tomorrow, so think of this as an ‘interim’ goodbye.

I must admit I’ll miss attending the ASADA office each day. Working with such great people makes me feel like this hasn't even been work.

When I look back on my time here, I’m proud of the ‘process-focused’ approach we've developed here. I think too many people worry about ‘outcomes.’

I believe my major accomplishments have been:

  • Attended a Media conference with two Ministers and the heads of major sporting organisations;
  • Got more funding for ASADA because the ACC did a hysterical report; and
  • Was CEO of ASADA for a period of time.

As I leave, I believe I can proudly say, ASADA is still here, still doing things every day.

All the best for the future.

Aurora
