The announcement that Andrew Demetriou will end his eleven year reign as AFL CEO at the end of this season, has kicked off a global executive search for a replacement.

Here is the current shortlist to replace Demetriou as it currently stands.

Gillon McLachlan

The front runner. Gillion has been the second-in-charge for some time now and is seen as the key architect of the recent huge TV rights deal.
