Dear Footy Fans and Sports Media

Just wanted to drop you a quick note, to let you know we’re still here and haven’t just quietly disappeared off the face of the Earth.

In fact, we’re busily getting ready for the upcoming AFL season. We’ve even been accepted into the NAB Challenge.

I don’t think we’ve spoken since that Campbell Brown/Rihanna/broken jaw thingy a while ago.

Guess that’s just something every AFL club has to go through at some point.

Anyway, there’s quite a buzz building up about the season. Victorians visiting the Gold Coast on holidays are very interested to know how we’re going.

We’ve also been in the Gold Coast Bulletin a couple of times over the last few months, which we’ve all been a bit chuffed about.

Our family day was also a big success, every player managed to bring a family member. Next year we hope to get fans to come along too.

Our membership drive is also coming along. We’ve already given away more memberships than at this time last year.

Gary Ablett still plays for us so that’s good.

Oh! I almost forgot, Karmichael Hunt is still here too and actually played last week, so there’s that.

We don’t speak to the Lions much. They’re a bit busy infighting and carrying on.

Anyway, let’s stay in touch, it’s lonely up here.
